They are progressive metal bands..and most of the numbers are awesome..!!
Listen to them with lyrics in your hand..u'll enjoy them more....intelligent lyrics....superb instrumentals...and lots to learn from !!
I've listened to the first two numbers of Shadow Gallery...and they have some superb sounding runs ...very flashy !!
Kamelot also has good numbers....Angra has good leads...!! All in all...every band is quite good and offers something to learn..!!
Sounds a lot like Iron Maiden...i mean the voice harmonies...the guitar harmonies..the vocals..the lyrics .....bassing !! i think it is these bands that we should try to emulate....anyway have a look and tell me what you think..!! As i've said listen with the lyrics in hand....especially Kamelot's Nights of Arabia and A Sailorman's Hymn...!! For guitar leads.....Shadow Gallery is the place !!

Angra and Kamelot are quite good too...

have u heard of sonata arctica... i find them much better than these two...

I guess from the fact that u mentioned these two bands that the list does seem to have informatioon on european metal... in which case, it should also have Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Ayreon... great stuff...

Symphony X.... not bad... I think Michael Romeo is one of the top 5 guitarists atm.

Whereas Dream Theater is probably one of the greatest bands ever. Their drummer (portnoy, guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist are all in my fav top 5 list.

hmmm... one of the best band ever... the guitarist is one of the best guitarist ever. the drummer is one of the best ever. the keyboardists are some of the best ever. the vocalist is one of the best ever. the bassist is one of the best ever... thats all abt DT.. just listen to anything they have... almost all their songs are real masterpieces.

Dream Theater is by far the best Band that exsists. Five piece band

I've told their names already. The have the best even Musicians in the Band which is awesome.
