Can something be done about this?

The thing is, I dont wanna load images and other crap like that on my browser, so i set my browser (tried both firefox and opera) not to show images. But, the buttons on IGT r not visible.. like, "User CP", "New Posts", "Search" etc.

I was wondering if that could be made viewable even if I dont wanna view images.

I'd appreciate it if this thread isnt closed jst coz zoom isnt here right now.

 

I guess, its like: you get the goodies only if you pay for it.

Advertisements and pop-ups are "paying".

PS: Juts musing, dont know teh extent of truth (though I have seen this happengin at certain sites).

 

I use firefox and have the same problem....but it happens only with IGT....not with other sites....
which is the best browser, one that dose not give such problems and is fast...??:help:

Cryptic, you can't get what you're asking for. Not possible, unless the administration change the "User CP" button to text. See the User CP you see right now is from the source:

So its in format .gif which is an image. So as you said you have images disabled, you can't see them since they will be disabled too.

If you don't want images saved on your harddrive then open Firefox go to Tools>Options and click on settings. Uncheck all. And only check the box with "Clear all private data when closing Firefox."
Note: You won't be able to save password and such things either.

why do u think ppl dont want images to display?

coz of the bandwidth they consume!!!

so, ur suggestion (thanks for trying) is pretty much useless in this case.


What I meant was, usually, instead of the image, some text will be shown which can be clicked. But not in this case.. so was jst wondering if that could be changed.

 

You can save those links and follow them manually.

You can replace something in place of Images... as whatever is happening is on the Client Side...
You disabled the images, so of course...they wont display!

But, i thought of a solution for you...
I have added a TEXT Based Link in the Welcome Box on right...
