well... i thunk ur going by the more famous brand names.....not by the actual sounds of da pedals..

i think this iz the best u can get in 350$ ( for more detais 4 sum of the below pedals check put the "pedal/stompboxes guide" thread https://indianguitartabs.com/showthread.php?t=13202&highlight=pedal+guide )

    ================================================================
    AMT Metalizer:
    ------------------
this will give a perfect thrash metal+the british sound+the funk metal sound
cost 100$ ( and SUMWHAT of da Mesa Boogie sound )... note : this pedal iz not PERFECT 4 death metal

    AMT CALIFORNIA SOUND :
    --------------------------------
since i dont have this pedal ... i'm quoting ronnieanands words " this pedal is gud if u shred a lot like vinnie moore and yngwie malmsteen ."
after hearing the demos .. for me it sounds gud 4 satrianni's solo's ..... but hey i havent git this so dont take my word 4 it ..
    cost : 100$

    Rocktron Short Timer Delay :
    -------------------------------------
if u play solo's u hav 2 get a delay pedal otherwise ur solo's and even ur riffs will feel quite empty.. itz the perfect delay pedal in da 100$ price range and itz 10 times better dan any BOSS DD3 or DD5 ( after i compared them 1nce .. i was quite doubtful dat the DD5 waz made 4 delay )
    cost 60$

Dunlop Crybaby with Fasel inductor :
    ------------------------------------------------
this is a modified version of da normal crybaby as it has the fasel inductor ,its probably the best wah 4 getting da old vinatge sound becuse of da fasel
it'll sumtimes even act as a gain boost....hehehe that might come 2 a disadvantage sumtimes with processors ..

otherwise itz gud 4 everything ranging from jimi's wah to slash to hammets solo's to morrelo's wah in Bulls on Parade .

    cost: 100$

    ===============================================================

oh btw i'm not dat confident bout u buying da Digitech Death Metal since it doesnt hav a gain knob ... but otherwise itz ok 4 a 60$ pedal

MEtal master is very versatile peadl ... if u got an opportunity to but it ... dont miss it ...

digitech death metal can give only one kinda toen ... n remember it doesnot have any gain controls ...

Boss MT-2 is tried n tested for meat l sound ... which i personally dont like ... there are some custom built pedals taht give very nice sounds ... but i have forgotten the names :p:

well for ditortions stuff i would prefer a more "tubey" sounding ... so AMT platinum n AMT Fatal Tube ... BOss DS-1 n DS-2 turbo ...

DOD also has some cool pedals ... which are slightly cheaper tahn Boss ...

but dude if u want plain distortion (n not metal) ... i have heard the AMT s ... thay sound nice n full ...
n not thin like metal pedals ...

there are some womaniser pedals also ...

n check out some pedls by Marshall also ... all aer good for the heavy overdrive + vacuum tube distortion ...
but yeah not good for death metal ...

If Zoom is available in your area try the Tri-Metal.
Supposed to be better than Mt-2. I have used an Mt-2 and didnt like it.

wasnt the tri-metal out of production?

Alfons, I think you are right.

It shows up on the used market/ebay.

I suppose it would be difficult to get it in India.

    Busted!!!

    I cant find it anywhere.

This really is out of production.

Anyway, Is any of the Line 6 pedals available in India?

I see from their site that have a distributor in Bombay.

I have the Dm4 (has pretty much every kind of overdrive/distortion) and I love it.

They have a smaller pedal called the Uber-Metal

    https://www.line6.com/tonecore/uberMetal.html

If this is anything close to the Dm4, Its guaranteed to be winner.

Uber metal has a thin sound,

hey metal core ... u havta decide one more thing ,,, u want a thin sounding metal distortion os thick sounding ...

usually the pedals touted as metal ditsortion pedals have very thin sound ... very good for home or studio recordings ... but believe me .. if u try playing on a gig ... u wont be able to make your slef heard ... for that u have to go for a thick sounding pedal ...
