best recording software soundforge ?

    hey there guys..i'm wanna know which one is the best recording software which i can get?
    and i shoud be able to re-record over it..as in..if i wanna play a solo over a progression i want it to be kinda merged together..

    at the moment ive got soundforge..is it possible to do that in soundforge..if so how do i do that..and what feature is it that i'mlooking for?

    yeah even i have sound forge with me but dunno all its features and stuff correctly.and help box guide is very difficult to go through!

    if you want multi track recording then try cakewalk pro audio or better still cool edit pro.

    I dunno man.
    I use Adobe Audition.

    Download the stuff and check it out yaar.
    BTW it is meant ONLY for Win98 or WinME

    Otherwise the program wont even install if your OS is different.
