basics of strumming and tips needed

hey guys ive jus got a guitar n m quite comfortable wid it .... i play quite a lot of songs n m also quite familiar wid d chords thnx to ur site ......... umm i jus need sum help wid strumming !! can ny1 please please help me wid d basics of strumming n ny useful tips i can use while strumming
