    Hello everyone,
i'm a new guitarist and have got a cheap Signature Archtop electric(single coil).
I want to buy a vox amPLUG ac31 and use it as a preamp and then connect to a pc and use a VST host such as amplitube.
Will it sound good with my cheap single coil or Should i buy an electric guitar ?
I have a small budget will it sound good on a pluto hw41ce as it has active pups?

Sorry if its in the wrong section

Well the Vox AmPlug is a good tool for practicing with Headphones

Regarding using it as a Preamp. I dont see much issues with it not sounding good

But be careful coz every VOX AMPLUG has its own signature tone. So if u kinda buy a Classic. U will get the distortion. And that distorted signal will be passed on to a pc software..

Its better to play with a Clean tone than a distorted one.

Again..VOX AMPLUG is costly..comes for around 2500 - 3k. why dont u look out for USED Amplifiers with Headphone/Recording out instead??? Much better than getting a Vox AMPLUG imo since u r tight on budget..

if you intend to use it as an interface no
the ac30 and the bass ones are pretty good i ordered a bass amplug yesterday :)
but guitar>amplug>computer's mic in>amplitube just wont work
i second what mymusic said look into am used instrumental group on fb and look for some used amps

Amplug is not a good option. Get yourself an USB interface and use amplitube or Guitar rig without any issues for insanely awesome sound.
