i wud prefer intel to AMD cause the fan's wrong position in AMD processors leads to its overheating........
AMD is fast than INTEL INTEL is 32 bit wherese AMD anthlon or duron is 64 bit and have better graphics I personaly have a intel p3 processor,but i am planning to buy a AMD
AMD processors r caliming the market as they r better than pentiums for gaming, which is becoming a gr8 market in todays world!!! n the new AMD processors will not have the heating probs!!!However intel is not to be pushed down, shortly they r planning to reclaim the market with their forthcoming processor P4 HT Extreme Edition(64 bit) which would give the Athlon FX some stiff competition!!!!I will post a review of this processor during its release.
Ha Ha ......... I am an Engineer working with Intel in their Processor Division I guess many are not even aware of what sits inside both the processors but are making serious comments on comparing these two. I am not going to comment and start a controversy, so I am withholding my comments.

yeah..thats true..i got a AMD2000+ processor and its doin wery well as compared to my pals P4 processor!!AMD rocks guyz!!!!its as simple as that.haha
Rightly said Wisevijay! I too got AMD 2000+ and it beats even P4 2.4GHz machine! I am proud of my machine! And those, who says AMD got heating problems... I am telling you, thats a past.. My Machine is ON from 9am to 4am next day... without break.. and the temperature hardly ever goes over 50C! Even in these hot summers! I had this Pentium Craze long back.... But ever since I used AMD.. i got to know that how INTEL cheats us... Only giving out the processors peak Processing Speed and based on that.. we expect gimmicks is foolishness! Cos, the peak processing speed is hardly ever reached! Its only the test-bed thing! Like they say in Motorbikes ads> 101Kmpl.. in TEST Condition! While on-road its 60! Similarly, AMD doesnt tells the peak processing speed.. but its performance ratio! AMD 2000+ in normal codition(non-overclocked) has peak clock speed of 1666MHz.. i.e 1.67GHz.. Now, it still performs rock-solid than an P4 2.4Ghz... cos, its performance output is much higher with its different chip design & L1/L2 cache settings! Now, it quite noticeable that, INTEL too has started advertising its processors based on its performance ratio! In other simple words.. A M D ROCKS And couple it with an Nvidia based chipset board... You would never look back! REgards, Zooom..!!
