acoustics are better , can be played anywhere anytime !!!

electric needs a proper place and time ...

Acoustics.,..... anytime.
Real skill sets can be put forward only on acoustic's.
I personally feel, Elec's can make even fools sound like god!!!

 

Acoustic anytime.
Acoustic sounds are natural, I dont like any man-made buzzing distorted sounds made by the electric.

Well the only electronic sound I can tolerate is the one coming out of David Gilmours and satriani's guitar.

hey i can always get that acoustic sound from electric using a processor ... but c'mon can i get the electric sound from acoustic ...

and distortion sounds crap with acoustic ...

 

I have seen Electronic Guitar from Yamaha. It doesn't have strings. But the buttons are arranged in such a way that it looks like strings and frets. So you play by pressing those buttons which is similar to fretting. You could even play chords. You can get an acoustic sound, a distorted electric sound, keyboard sound and also a midi kind of sound. Each of these buttons are also lit. It has some inbuilt songs too. If you want to learn those songs, you go into training mode, and this light will light up wherever you have to press the button, similar to fretting. You could even translate the songs you learnt here to the guitar as it's pretty much the same in terms of the fretboard arrangement. It also teaches you chords, scales and some small lead patters. It's like your Baby keyboard in shape of the guitar. If the guy who started the thread wants a comparison between this and the Acoustic Guitar, then . This stuff is not even an instrument. You grow 20 years backwards and then buy this stuff.
If you want to compare this with Electric Guitar, it's wierd. Both are different instruments. Electric is not a mic-ed acoustic. You think all the artists are dumb to keep both electric and acoustic. You cannot reproduce the lush acoustic sound in an electric guitar with whatever processor. You can get a different kind of clean electric sound. Even with acoustic simular pedals, it cannot come close to the original.
@ Rakesh, you buy either buy an acoustic or an electric based on your need and the type of songs you'd play. There's absolutely no comparison between these two.

 

aye to that ...
acoustic sounds very lush and kewl (the jingy jingy sound) - cant get the same in electric
but to get a good acoustic sound ya need to buy an expensive one ... coz no two cheap ones sound same ...
