Zinda V/s Rang de basanti

ok the month of jan. 2006 saw two good movies , different genre altogether, now y am i comparing these two movies ?

well because.. to know which one u liked the most ...

according to me both movies are great .. but zinda is little better then rang de basanti

y ?

cause of following reasons:-

1. Zinda is a dark movie (and we hardly see dark movies in bollywood) and we've seen like enough movies on patriotism

2. Nice experimental movie although a ripp off of a classic "oldboy" a korean movie and the book "oldboy" but i bet not many people read the book and moreoever not many people actually seen the korean flick (as the subject deal with incestism) and the director still manages to find a way to avoid that subject

3. A nice try with non-fictional subject and sanjay dutt really shines well in a dark movie so as john

4. Some emotional reason and personal reason i find the flick good

5. Zinda keeps ya stick, unlike rang de basanti where story becomes predictable


like above i find so many things in zinda which makes it a better movie then to rang de basanti , although aamir khan is a great actor but for the first time i find him no where in comparison to sanjay dutt (although i never liked his flick as hathyaar etc.)

So i'll rate Zinda better then Rang de basanti

well i guess RAng de basanti is betta than zinda.............

 

I think sharad... that reason should make the movie not just good .... but "AWESOME !!" ... outta the world experience...

Yes ZINDA is better than Rang de...... Any day !!

Sanjay Dutt just Rocked in the movie!

The way he represnted the pain for his daughtr and all was like...
Aamir khan was divided between that DG and Chandrashekhsr Aazad characters

About the movies...

Zinda has a good story and it really touched my heart

Rang de basanti ka story was unbelievable.... but the presentation was good

Wait...so the movie is a rip-off and the director ignores a very pertinent issue and that is one of the things you actually like about the movie? Please explain further why the subject should be avoided or why you appreciate the fact that it does. I'm curious.

 

^^ well the subject of incestism was avoided.. cause the the actual book and korean flick "oldboy" revolves around incestism , which i think is totally taboo here in commerical cinemas (i'm talking about bollywood)

but still he manages to make dark film outta it that's cause 95% of story is similar to the oldboy, only the incest part was avoided

Anyway, I haven't watched RDB.

Zinda is overall good movie except the cruel violence. That closeup scene of plucking the teeth .. yaak ...

 

One peace loving human being here... I guess its a fine movie.. specially those scenes that you are referring to actually did make me go yuck too !!
But then.. how often do u find such dark movie being made in India ... I know i actually made quite a fun abt the movie while watching it... but it was amazing !!
I loved that scene ... when sanjay dutt feels Rain after ages...
And for him wontons become nothing but just a "taste"
aaah...

 

Its 1:21 AM and now i am going to watch second CD of "Life or Somthing like it"

Just wondering why bollywood dont make movies like this. Zinda mein jitne baar "zinda" nahi bolo gaya hoga usse jyada to logo ka murder huaa hai.

It may be good but tell me if you r forced to watch one movie and your options are "Zinda" and RDB then which will you choose? Remember you have watched both movies before.

 

like Zinda in it ways it good nd Rang de Basanti in it way its good...........U cant compare both coz both of them hav different stories.....like a person of 40 age wont go for zinda coz of action i think. , he`ll go for RDB..............Like if u think RDB is more betta.........Like Zinda u cant watch it only 1 tyme but RDB u can watch it how many tymes ya wont

 

Well.. I personally dont find any of them so good that i can watch them again...
But if i had to make a choice....then.. Zinda .. definately...
For my personal reasons !!.....Just wanna forget Rang de basanti episode

 

rang de is simply SUPERB!!!!
