Randy William Rhoads December 6, 1956 - March 19, 1982 Even today, 23 years after that errant plane crash he remains a source of great inspiration to many young guitarists including me. His mind-blowing and for the time completely over the top guitar playing and stage presence completely redefined rock and roll as we know it. It is fitting then that his name be given to Jackson's flagship line of guitars which were later picked up by great guitarists from the likes of Kirk Hammett to Alexi Laiho. His death was one the world could have done without. Still the legacy he left behind will be forever remembered.
