He is considered one of the best Rhythm Guitarists in Metal ever. In the 80s the top 4 Rhythm Guitars were

    James Hetfield
    Dave Mustaine
    Malcolm Young
    Rudolf Schenker

Ron Wood (born June 1, 1947 in London) is a British rock guitarist best known as a member of The Rolling Stones and The Faces.

Wood began his career in 1964 with the Birds, based in Yiewsley, West London. By the late 1960s, he was part of The Creation, then joined the Jeff Beck Group as a bass player together with singer Rod Stewart. They split up, however, after Beck-Ola in 1969.

Nope. Check it out again. He was a bassist in the band initially but later became the guitarist. By the way Still I am Sad was by these guys. It was a lousy song until Blackmore fired it up :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw: .
