this is a rip-off of the good old game "hangman's squad" , which was modified for films exclusivey, to produce a game called 'hollywood". this being IGT, lets do a WOODSTOCK. i'll start. WOODSTOCK _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ you got to guess the name of the band, which involves 7 letters, and you have 9 chances (9= # of alphabets in WOODSTOCK) say if you said "z" and it wasn't there in the word, then WOODSTOCK will be changed to z -OODSTOCK _ _ _ / _ _ _ _. (one alphabet of wodstock is crossed out and the wrong attempt is written in its place). if Z is correct, then i insert it on the right 'dash" and so on. since this game can take up a lot of space, what i think i'll do, is "edit" my original post each time, instead of making the changes in fresh posts. ____________________________________________________________________________________ so.... WOODSTOCK T H _ / _ A _ _ all the best. PS: the guys who throws the challenge band/artist name should stay online and keep an eye on this thread, till his "challenge" is over over.
where r the 2 of you. i have already made the changes for the T and the A...... isnt there a way of alerting the participants of the game.... or alerting the challenge-thrower when someone comes up with an attempted alphabet? is the igt chat room open?
ok i guess the only way of alerting the participants is, if i post the required alteration instead of editing it in my original post. mods please excuse. i had tried to save space... but that just took away the fun WOODSTOCK T H _ / _ A _ _
lol aleric.. you provided the first bit of fun in this thread. you got to try letter by letter and not jump to conclusions. its not the cars. from now on, if someone hazards a guess about the name of the band - and gets it wrong - he/she is out of the contest regarding the "band/artist" in question. try alphabets aleric, riyazz, tejas....
you got to go one at a time. also you cant try "s" again. its been tried and its not there - hence an "s" at the top. (s, -OODSTOCK T H E / B A _ _ ________________
(s, r - - ODSTOCK T H E / B A _ _ ok ...i came up with an easy one to start with. does someone else want to try the next one? or should i give another one? for all triers - keep trying till you have only 2-3 letters of woodstock left (...OCK or so). then its sensible to become cautious. basically, the longer the name the more the chances that guessed alphabet will match with one or the other "blanks" - so go for small names. also names with fewer vowels are more difficult. if the name involves an abbreviation (ie. p.o.d) then you have to say as much. same with numerals (ie.. Edward 2)
