Wow !!!! its gr8 to find that IGT has so many Penguin Lovers.. But this Penguine (Linux) has some minus points also.. but not w.r.t. to Windows.. In fight with windows Linux always wins.. When it comes to the real time scenario though it is far better than Windows.. but it crashes when comes near to RTOS like VxWorks , pSOS, QNX.. Linux fails because the kernel can't handle the scenario of Priority Inversion.. Priority inversion is the phenomenon which occurs when a high priority task has to wait for a low priority task to release some resources like semophores and in turn gets blocked for a kernel which implements priority based pre-emptive scheduling.. Do u know NASA uses VxWorks as the RTOS for its space missions ? vishwa

Its good to see that ppl have started liking linux.. I am atleast able to make some ppl motivate to use linux.. I think now i will get my share from Red Hat kidding.. ya friends its the time to close the "khidkis" and open our eyes to the world of "Penguines "..

Hey anyone of you have used Windows Vista Beta 1... I am downloading it... and hope to install in a new machine to test the OS... I heard that it has followed some Mac/OS layout... oh another good news friends... those who are new to LINUX... they can donload KNOPPIX and can enjoy LINUX... its a LIVE CD... it means you can run LINUX from the CD only... you just have to boot your PC from CD... thats all... its really good and some well known packages are given in the CD only... like mplayer, open office etc etc... pls try it out friends... you'll love LINUX...
