wht it means when chords are written like D/F# or Em/G

    hi
    pls tell me wht it means when chords are written like D/F# or Em/G or anything like that. also when its in bracket like (A). i have seen a lot of it on olga but cant make the meaning. :think:

    i'm not an xpert in guitar... :)
    but i can vaguely answer some parts of ur qs like...
    what is D/F#... it means the rhythm guitarist plays D while the base guitarist plays F#.. same thing for Em/G..

    if u wan2 play D/F# in just one guitar.. u can do so too.. but i dont know the chord chart 4 those chords.. i know its not a vry good xplanation.. :) just wantd 2 help.. :p:
