theres alot..but hands down..its GOT to be alexi laiho ( :nw: ) from children of bodom. just look at him roll its so crazy. ok u some of u guys may not like the music (melodic death/power metal) but i recommend that EVERYONE download a song from bodom (preferably kissing the shadows--listen to the guitar/keyboard duel at the end) and tell me u r not amazed. and this guys only in his early 20s, just think about the stuff he might come up with next!
eh....no i hate bodom. alexi is a talented guitarist though. Muhammed Suicmez from Necrophagist and Dave Suzuki from Vital Remains.
@Shaun - He was talking about new guitarists. Yeah, alexi is a very good guitarist, but for me it has to be Jeff Loomis of Nevermore. He is awesome.
come to think of it, not much new guitarists worth mentioning...with the exception of jeff loomis and few others.
i second that john mayer. i like songwriter guitarists, who write songs that r bigger than their guitar pieces. they r the best guitarists.
