well they r undernourished n underpaid so what else can we expect?

as for who's responsible for the state of indian cricket imo its:
1- MNCs who use cricketers as "brand ambassadors"
2- media who portray cricketers as "super heroes" n "tigers" n what not
3- public who buys into all the above crap
4- lastly its the team which lacks maturity & commitment to the game

i dont think the coach has a big role for india - maybe a coach is important for bermuda/netherlands etc. but not for india unless ur looking for a scapegoat

My opinions:

1) Players
They have spent more time in modelling/Ads than honing their skills ( with the bat and ball ofcourse ).Irresponsible shots on the field, clumsy fielding and our bowling has gone to the dogs !!!!!!!!!!.

2) We the Indian fans
Too much expectation out of this cricket team, possibly the main cause for our Men in blue to under perform as they have succumbed to the pressure in the process !!!

3) Betting/Match fixing.
likely tho' can't be ruled out completely.

BCCI/Coach have little role to play as at the end of the day its the players who have to contribute.
