Even with the extreme reactions, I don't think the cricketers have any room to complain. It's this extreme and ununderstandable emotional attachment (I wouldn't call it passion....passion I'd use for people who actually understand the game) which rakes in the moolah for them and makes cricket a big sport. It's these idiots who buy those 5 ruppee pepsi livestrong type bands to "support" their team (support financially? I don't see a sign saying that the proceeds will directly go to development of cricket?) and it's these idiots who then go and break down walls. You can't expect to exploit them when the going is good and then expect them to shake their heads and say "ah, tough luck mate" when you lose.


If you'd treated cricket like a game when you advertized and exploited, maybe people would have understood that it is, after all, a game.

frankly, India are way way behind the other teams in the world cup. although the result is bit of a shock, still.. it is the harsh truth.
