As some of you'll know - im heading for the usa at the end of august for 4 years to complete my undergrad studies. im taking my rg with me, but im obviosuly not taking my amp - i will take my processor with me... now i dont want to spend too mcuh on a new amp but i want a decent one... im looking at spending around 100 dollars or so... i want to order soon. ive shortlisted to 3 amps - more suggestions are welcome - but id also like u to vote on which amp u suggest i buy.. ull know i like most rock, metal, some blues, some jazz, so my requirements are such - a good quality speaker - even thoguh i doubt ill be using it at very high volumes, i want a nice qualtiy sound output... a nice clean tone - god im sick of my stranger...... - a nice distortion (i ahve my processor with some really nice patches so this isnt top priority), - it should be good at both loud and soft voluems - as this will be the one im using in my dorm room and maybe even while jamming.... this is basically a practice amp - i dont really need chorus or any other effects on it... im just looking for nice so8und output... here are the 3 choices i have seen online: 1. Marshall 15MGCDR - https://www.zzounds.com/item--MSHMG15CDR 2. Fender Frontman II 25R - https://www.zzounds.com/item--FEN0231502000 3. Behringer GX110 - https://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHGX110 this is quite urgent....
hm.. as per blackmambas advise - im adding anotheer amp - he suggests a secondhand amp - i dout my dad will fund a secondhand one - hes not too much for that... so he also suggestes a peavey and this once looks nice: https://www.zzounds.com/item--PEVTTRAGE
Umm..I know absolutely nothing about amps... but Harmony-Central had pretty good reviews for Vox Pathfinder 15...so u can check that out too.... https://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data/Vox/Pathfinder_15-01.html
GO For marshall best amps everyones using it everyband has a contract in marshall company so go for marshall its my dream amps wish i would have someday bye..
Also take a look at Brand-X amps. Despite the name, they are manufactured by Fender but at a slightly lower price. They are quite good. I own the 25R myself and am very satisfied with it. I purchased mine for $150 Canadian which should be around $120 USD. Look here: https://www.fender.com/products/otherbrands/
The cheapest amp I know is one made by a friend and great guitar player in Kolkata - its called the ToneMeister. 20W and rocking clean tone at rS. 2,300 or so. amazing. If you can pay more go for a Roland Micro Cube at 7.5K its a killer with COSM amp simuation, multi effects and revereb, tremolo phaser, flanger, delay etc....and killer distortions...........theres no competition.
