It all depends on Ur budget....... If U want a basic model n jst wanna learn it U can start frm as low as 1600Rs n any of the lowest brands...... dont go fr a very expensive brand in the beggining..... if U want decent sound then get one with pick ups...... with tat u also need an amp..... remember brands r jst to impress others, quality of sound is all tat matters.... quality depends on diff factors..... even the wood matters.......... Once u hav mastered it U can go fr a better and expensive brand........

YES!! go for a basic Givson... even if you dont quit, the basic guitar (Givson or Hobner) is the one for beginners. When you start out, your efforts should initially be toward learning chords, finger positions and strum patterns.. and for this you do not need to spend a whopper on a big branded expensive guitar!
