Well, you must try tube distortion, Its magical, the way the sound breaks, like waves crashing.................. Ok, so lets cut to the chase, try to get your hands on a crate palomino. And 15-18 watts is enough dude. It will slay a spider!!!
The palomino didn't have an effects loop or a cab out. I really want to try my SD blackouts through a tube amp. They had this lovely overdriven tone through some fender amp in onstage. Best pickup set ever and I really need a good amp to compliment it
well if it were possible...yeah..but basically I want something that sounds better than my frontman with a much hgiher output. I was talking to some valveking owners, and they sa with a few minor mods down the line it's a great amp. The main problem is a slightly shitty speaker, but thats easily and cheaply replaceable if I want to
^Spam post O.O Anyways...cant we just get a good sounding half stack for cheap? Those things have immense psychological value...If you own a half stack from your own (musical) earnings...then you're a semi-pro/pro player!
Eh, there was the hartke piggyback halfstack with a single preamp valve for 16k....sounded muddy but half-stacks are so awesome...till I realised it would mean one more thing to carry around..
in other words, if you're a semi-pro/pro player then you have made enough money to own a half stack too..so...
@DagMX - I've considered that thing before, but raj.hendrix just saved me from going for the plunge...He says it sounds like crap. If something's got the Marshall/Mesa/Laney logo on it, it's the true prawnage...psychological warfare \,,/ Other bands will cover in fright! But alas...A Marshall speaker cab is like 13k, and the head can be anything between 10k-20k...T.T
