^^ I dont really like the old, barnes stuff. It was pretty much like slayer meets anal cunt. Especially eaten back to life. The speed hardly ever changes and nor is it very fast.


The new stuff kicks ass though :metal: GORE OBSESSED was their peak IMO. And i hope that Kill, their new album will be more on the technical direction.

ps: I'm a cannibal corpse fan but how is it "brutal"? What is brutality?

Oh man, for sure Gore Obsessed was their best album till date, I sure hope their new release will be as good. I think my favorite album is still Live Cannibalism, I just love their live sound! Plus gotta love George's take on the Barnes era classics. In fact I'm listening to Stripped Raped and Strangled off Live Cannibalism now.

Oh one thing I just had to add, would you agree with me saying that most Cannibal Corpse lyrics look like a troubled twelve year old composed them? I don't know, sometimes they overdo the gore theme. What lacks in good lyrics, Alex, Jack (well on those two albums anyway) and Pat make up in muscianship. Alex Webster rips!

Yeah, that IS an awesome thing. They are a kick ass live band and yeah george's take on barnes is kickass.
