Where are the Metal Fans ???

This site is a guitar site and thinkin of guitar
without heavy metal music fans is unthinkable ???
most of the best guitarist of all time played in a metal band
so where are the headbangers ??

i am a heavy metal fan
but there is more to music than just heavy metal
and i disagree that most of the best guitar players played in a heavy metal band.

 

Well I am a metal fan as well ... but i too agree with dharmatma a.k.a dimebag ... there is more to music than just metal ... in fact more often than not the final frontier is to become a jazz player ... the best guitarists are in most cases Jazz players ...

 

I think my alias speaks for itself.

 

I am a music lover... and metal (heavy, melodic, speed, doom, etc...) is just another genre which i like.. But most definitely not the only one... I agree most famous metal bands have very good guitarists but the opposite may not neccessarily be true.

I like metal in general, cant confine my taste to one genre as such.

metal used to be my way of life..now i've changed..though still listen to some of the stuff.
n a metal band doesn't mean a good guitarist..most of the nu metal bands for example have guitarists that have been playing since some 8-9 months. what do you say abt that. though i know that isn't nowhere near wot true metal is.

 

jazz guitarists are the best and (imo) most blues/blues-rock guitarists are better than most metal guitarists

 

i am a metal head and I play in a band and i have cds on sale which all of you should buy

again..how good a guitarist is, is/should be independent of what genre he or his band falls in..
