Give them a time-out session... Ask Chappel to consult people who can/do have a good mind... someone like say, a Dean Jones... have them come over... Organise a big, 30-40 man training session... Pick a team... Don't consider past performances... Man, that's so idealistic!
They shud stop eating, sleeping and drinking cricket, and for a change actually PLAY cricket. go pepsi go!, or was it coke?
Enough about the team, its time the Indian "fans" and the media fixed themselves too. Why do they make such huge celebrities out of mediocre and inconsistent players? It is sport, the other team can also play well. The public never had any sporting spirit, they dont know how to handle defeats OR victories gracefully(going over the top in both cases). The Indian team was NEVER a consistent and solid team, but the fans chose to see the world through rose-tinted glasses. The cricket team has fared better than our other sports teams because its a game where you can manage to win inspite of being poor athletes and team players ie on talent alone. Look at the top teams, their spirit, the sheer athleticism of each of their members. All players have talent , but at the top level, many other things matter a lot too. Removing individuals/ captains/coaches arbitrarily will not solve anything if the same mistakes are repeated down the line.
get india another "national sport" or what u earn directly proportional to performance on the field. and all cricketers should be banned from making adds n so on.... promoting youth talent by kicking out the old ones is also plausible
