what kinda music should i hear???

hey guys!
i am new to the guitar and to this site.....i wanted to know what kind of music i should lisen to...(that is ...what kind of music should a wanna be guitarist lisen to for inspiration)
in english...i mostly lisen to bryan adams.....what i am lisening mostly to nowadays is pakistani music....i like jal, fuzon and strings.....in indian bands, i frankly havent heard much....i like euphoria a lot.
plz tell me bout the kinda music i should lisen to not only in english....but in hindi too....

listen to jimi hendrix and steve vai.and also joe satriani.

 

listen to falguni pathak ..she is an awesome blues player.

on a more serious note..
listen to all the generes..and decide what u like and want to listen to for urself.

John Petrucci, both his solos and the work he does with Dream Theatre. listen to DT and you'll never be the same.
A bit of Yngwie Malmsteen maybe.
Eric Johnson, one fantastic bt underrrated player.
Select tracks from Metallica and Iron Maiden.
and also classics like the eagles and scorpions.

 

eric johnson is one THE most soulful players ever............his clean tone ROCKS:rock:
eagles are good
DT is good....but.....kinda on the heavier side...
satch vai are good too....
buckethead has good stuff.....but non gnr stuff.....
older GNR albums are good.......wont be able to tell u mcuh about metal etc.......

Listen to different sub-genres in guitar driven bands and see what you like...... The recommendations dont mean much IMO, there are awesome guitarists in a lot of genres (you probably know which ones i'm NOT talking about).
Everything from Blues to death metal has great guitarists.

@The guy who said that falguni pathak isnt good: MAn, who are you? She's one of my favourite musicians (ever heard of multi talented ones?) EVER. Above that, she's so goddamn hot!!!
