What is voicing with regard to amp, like flat voiced, modern voiced etc.... also, can sombody explain an effects loop like this guitar > mt-2 > tube amp > boss ge-7 EQ (in return) > tube amp.
Voicing is some sort of internal EQin that happend inside the amp circuit. Flat voiced means, there is no peaks or valleys in the EQ graph if you see the output. Errrm, regardign modern and classic voiced, there are lots of frequencies involved, its best left qualitative . Marshall Plexi/JCM800/Mesa MArk 1 etc are classic voicings. Marshall TSL/boosted JCM/MEsa Recto etc are modern voicings EG: classic voicing: https://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=404167&songID=4813898 modern voicing: https://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=404167&songID=4813910 Classic sounds more open, and boxy Modern sounds more nasal, and tight (PS: yeah I have only those two clips to illustrate everything I say)
