what is the use of learning guitar scales ?

what is the use of learning scales. i know a lot of scales but dunno where to use em.

 

Well learning scales is helpful when you are trying to:
1. Build a chord
2. Create chord progression
3. Improvise over a chord/chord progression
4. Create a melody based on a chord progression

There may be other uses also, which I may be unaware of.

 

again we begin to wonder whether it was a good decision to ban someone

scales are like the building blocks of guitar...all the music theory is based on scales....

 

i am having the same problem but im figuring sme of it out
theres no use in just learning all the scales byheart
u need to learn songs and solos and try to figure the key and what all scales are used in it

with a few years excercise maybe u will be able to improvise etc..

 

one thing i know..Scales can be helpful in one way which is >> that u can find out the chords of a song ur listening to..ON UR OWN!..well not 100% but many many of em ..

 

how do we find the chords using scales???????

dont strain ur brain on that part concentrate on trying to know what scales mean instead

The only reason = as i see it - that u dont know how to use scales is that you dont use them....see? stop downloadin chords and tabs from the net - and try and put ur own hed to it...k?
