What is the first song you ever learned?

    first song i tried and nailed it was - come as you are - nirvana.
    sat down at 12 am till 2 am....i was getting it pretty perfect.
    nothing else matters- metallica
    one-metallica
    call of the ktulu-metallica
    most of the hindi songs posted in IGT.
    haven't been to solo yet. metallica songs r on progress.

    Talk about considering yourself inferior? I am the other way round.
    I am proud of what i learnt first on my own till date

    The first tune i picked on my own was the lifeboy jingle ka guitar line
    and i felt proud instantly because all other amatuers would play some arbit stuff on one string, and i picked this up which used the E and the B string

    FIRST BASS SONG: PARANOID (from Sarosh my lead guitarist)

    FIRST TOUGH BASS - HALLOWED BY THY NAME - IRON MAIDEN

    My first song was Ek Hasina Thi (Karz).

    When it comes to chords, Everything I Do was the first one I could play. I checked up the chords online and played them ...

    Wonderwall was the first song, whose chords I found on my own, the entire song's quite simple :-D (though I always sing it from the Em and not F#m scale as I don't have a capo)

    my guru is a sweet person called RAJA
    who lives in Chembur, Mumbai.

    He was not a teacher but a player in a small time tamil/hindi band in mumbai.
    A friend who used to sing kishore kumar stuff with that band introduced me to him and he taught me for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
