It Help for sure... A metronome is a devoice which will give you beats in the form of Ticks and Tocks so that you can play in time. It helps both Rhythm and LEads ..

no u dont use it in performances... unless you're performing solo, there probably would be a drummer to keep the beats for you. plus, the metronome doesn't make such loud sounds that can be very audible outside your practice room. plus, you'd better do your homework on your rhythm before stepping onto the stage in the first place ;)

you can check out an excellent freeware metronome (only 18k and packed with all features you'd need) at: https://www.pinkandaint.com/weirdmet.shtml

Prash's right... You dont use them in concerts.. Some drummers do. But they plug on their headphones and use them... Not guitarists though.. You generally have a drummer or if you are playing solo tap your feet gently so that you can keep your timing right..

    Thanks For The Link

    P.S. Prash ROCKS

but its extremely valuable for practice... both rhythm and lead will need it bcuz neither can afford to go out of beat during an actual performance and this is the best way to become perfect.

Yes Ofcourse.. .If you go out of beat on stage.. Go into Exile for a few months grow a beard and disguise yourself and come back and play..

But as far as my knowledge goes, Many drummers use it cause they have to play the beat before the note is gone..
