What does "Am" mean

    Guys

    I really appreciate the way this forum is orgainzed for newbies.I am very new to guitar and learning it.I found the word "Am" in the forums below the tabs.Can somebody tell me what does that mean ? I am sure somebody must have answered this somewhere but trust me I tried to search this forum for "Am" and it gives me no result..thats why I am posting it again.

    Am means the chord A minor. You play the noted A + C + E and u get Am.

    @mk....since u r new to guitaring. i do like to recommend you www.cyberfret.com. a complete free site which teaches you how to play guitars. For suggestions and recommendation IGT will defenitely help you.

    well, I recommend you visit guitar.about.com and there you switch to beginner guitar lessons. There are about 11 sets of lessons from beginner to intermideate levels. It's by far the best site for novices and after you finish the lessons, you can switch to cyberfret.com for other resources. All lessons are free of cost!
