    Hi Folks,
I can understand basic Hammer on ex - 2h4 => from 2nd Fret to 4th Fret
    But what does 0h3 means??
if I Pluck an open string and immediately hammer the 3rd Fret it will
become dead. Same with Pull off.

    Pls Clarify.

the open string means that it is being fretted on the Zero th fret (the nut) ...
so why should it act in a different fashion from the 2nd fret?

No it should not become dead. Remember you have to hammer not to press.

Prefer your ring or middle fingure for hammering and use the index fingure and thumb for guitar support. This will give you the maximun power to hammer.
