Hi Friends, If any webdesigner here, please HELP me. :help: I have designed my Hospital Website in Front Page. I wanted to purchase a Domain. I contacted SIFY, NET4INDIA & CLEVERBIT. They have told their package prices for Domain name & Hosting. But I am not very clear with their ideas. Is Hosting different from Domain Registry? What are the steps I should go through? I don't know much about this, but yes hosting is different from domain registry. Hosting is the space needed to store your website, they allow you to be accessible to the whole world via their server, and thats what you are paying for and domain registry is just the name you have buy, for example, indianguitartabs.com! Points you have to think about: How many data tranfser you are getting and how many you are expecting? How many space you need and what are you getting? Is frontpage supported(cuase you built your web in frontpage)? How many emailaddresses you need and what are you getting? The languages supported, Java, Perl, PHP? And of course the price you want to pay!
Thanks Thanks, I got the idea cleared from my friend. I am registring the domain & then hosting it too.. In medical terms, DOMAIN Registry is naming a child or getting the Birth Certificate from the Muncipailty whereas, HOSTING is bringing up the child, as the family does...
