that is what i said, the sound is ok .but the technical aspects of grg's are uncomparable to the rg's.for ex rg's wizard neck ,edge pro bridge are way better than the grg's neck and Ltr-1 bridge.

Hahaha. Ibanez users would love to negate me. But here is a list of guitarists who have used/use SGs:

    Okay hold your breath...

    1. Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath.
    2. Glenn Buxton of Alice Cooper
    3. Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest
    4. Lars Frederiksen of Rancid
    5. Buck Dharma and Eric Bloom of the Blue Oyster Cult
    6. Pepper Keenan of Corrosion of Conformity
    7. Angus Young of AC/DC
    8. Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers Band
    9. Robbie Krieger of The Doors

    and many many more...

You'd be a fool to pick a low end Ibanez or Washburn over this.

it doesn't need downtuning... its just that people prefer drop A tuning in the nu-age cr*p they play, to make the sludge sludgier :/

GRG sucks. GRX sucks. Ibanez lower - end sucks. I beg please dont buy it. You might find a nice Kramer below 20k. I am not sure that was like 2 years ago.

a decent Kramer with maladroit lower frets though.

    drop A tuning ?

Wht bout Drop D,Eb etc, around 99% of Metal bands use these tunings as standard..........
