If you're going for an electric .. What about Amp and pedal(s)? If you can't afford to spend more, buy a good acoustic IMO.

Yeah, its a great guitar. I wouldnt sell it if i didnt have to. Its like the most comfy guitar i have. I dont think you can get something good for your price. And dont buy an acoustic again. Save up for a little more time.

Guitars that come in pakcages usualy suck very bad! Secondly, java guitars are really awful. The guy at bajaao told me (when my friend was about to buy a Java) that the wood is really bad and the truss rod breaks into the neck in a years time or less. I seriously am against Javas. I played a silvertone about 4 months back and it was an OK guitar. I would just search for used guitars in your area. -1 for silvertone -1 for java

1 word: Crap Buy an electric and an amp with built in distortion. What I can suggest is that Laney's Guitar + Laney LX 12 Guitar Amplifer(3k)
