I have a bit of techical question. I find that the height of the individual coils on an electric guitar pickup is not the same. At either ends (string# 1 & 6) it has relatively lesser height than those meant for middle strings. Is this normal and if yes, why is it so. Thanks.
Well did you open up your pickups to see the coil height? What you see outside is the pole of magnet, and not the coil.
