That's called TAB!!! What Bjr said was definitely right, that you should start from very left and keep going to the right.... And refer to any tab-reading article posted in IGT. The other thing is that these are not called chords, they are called TABs or TABULATUREs. ---- are not meant for pauses but to show distinctions from one note to the other...keeping distance for ease of viewing only. E---- B---- Here the E is your thinnest string i.e., Hight E string and B is the string next to it. And most tabulatures are given in standard tuning i.e, your guitar is supposed to be tuned in the standard way(eBGDAE-123456-Thinnest->Thickest)... Ok...I think these might help... Bye, Ankur(gogol)
hi thanks for the help but i have a small confusion see if chords are like this - E ---------------0-------------------------------- B -------0--1-3------3-----------0---3----1------- G ---2---------------------0--2------------------- D ------------------------------------------------ Chaand mera dil Chaandni ho tum then on G chord if i play 2,0,2 simentaneously , it comes out to be horribly "besura" , then do i have to make a distance b/w the two nodes ... i m confused .. i know the question is idoitic but plz do reply .
No, it's not idiotic....you've just got a bit confused with tabs. The E,B,G,D are not chords on which you play this....these are the strings you play them on....E is 1st string, B 2nd string, G 3rd and D 4th string. Now the sequence of notes to play on the CHaand mera dil tabs is: play the 2nd fret on 3rd string, then open, 1st and 3rd fret on 2nd string, then open string on 1st and so on...
these are tabs/notes which u'd pluck on ur guitar strings...u need to learn to read tabs to play songs in this format>> https://indianguitartabs.com/showthread.php?t=153 "---" has no significance it would just help u know which note to play first..like u have to start playing the notes from left side. follow the link above^ that would be of great help..feel free to ask again if ur query remains unsolved..if at all
Its simple play from left tp right whichever note comes first The ---- are the strings the gap left between two numbers is the gap of time u need to keep between the two notes(Unlike reading MUSIC,Tabs can't give u perfect timing) FOR CHAND MERA DIL--- play step by step The 2 on the G string comes first so play it Then next comes 0 B(which means open string no fret) Then comes 1 on B Then comes 3 on B Then 0 on E Then 3 on B again Then 0 on G Then 2 on G Then 0 on B Then 3 on B Then 1 on B U read the piece of tablature as a whole(that is all the strings together) Not by string>
Good attempt!! post this song's tab also alongside..which u've tried to get down step by step..It would be helpful for him!
Thanks Vini!!!!!! But i can't post the tabs as i can't copy and paste even the ctrl+c thing isn't wurking!! @noopsi did you get it?????
@ noopsi Here are the tabs for the intro of chand mera dil:- e-----------0----------------------------------------- B--------------1--------------------------------------- G------0-2------4--0-h-2-0-------------------------- D-0-2--------------------------2-0-------------------- A---------------------------------------3-0------------- E--------------------------------------------------------- in UJSEN's 7th post he has posted the step by step procedure of playing it. You've recieved the maximum amount of guidance now do reply if ur concept is clear as yet or not?
