I thought that valves and tubes are good only for guitar amps.
Where the non-linearity is desired (to give that warm overdriven tone).


But I had no idea that high end hi-fi audio system amps too involve tubes or valves (call them whatever).

Apparently, it's very good quality...much better than the Sony stuff you get for 25 k.
I'm going to buy a stereo sometime next year...might go and check it out then!
