understanding guitar tabs

So this basically means you hit the low E string, then go up to A, D, G, B, E...without touching any frets right? And then you hit the B string, G, D, A, and E..then you hit low E string, first fret, A string, first fret, and so on...

Right, right? Hehe, please tell me I'm right..I'm right, aren't I? Oh my God, please!!!!!!!

I am using an complete different way of understanding guitar notes...Its Sa, Re, GA, MA....
All the songs and notes are in this format....
i find it so easy and not as confusing as this tabs...

How about you guys..which do u recommend and whats your take on this
