The first few lessons will teach you how to hold the guitar and pick in the proper manner. You will also learn what each of the instruments parts is called. From there, you will move quickly to learning about scales and chords. You will probably be playing some chords before you are finished with your first lesson. Once you have learned scales and chords, strumming patterns and actual songs will not be far behind.

I have a question. I want to know how you play it when the tab goes kinda like this:

    E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
    B|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
    G|-11-11-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-16-16-12-12-12-12-12-12-|
    D|-x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--|
    A|-9--9--10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-|
    E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

    E|----------------------------------------|
    B|----------------------------------------|
    G|-11-11-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-9-9-9-9--|
    D|-x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x-x-x-x--|
    A|-9--9--10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-7-7-7-7--|
