Am pretty sure, no one here in Pune would be even aware of a ukelele.

why wouldn't anyone in pune sell a ukulele?

Ukuleles are generally cheaper than Guitars.
Ukuleles only have 4 strings so at the beginner level it's easier than a Guitar.
Ukes are smaller than Guitars so more portable and easier for kids to play with.

Also, on the Net there are a lot of free resources to learn how to play.

    I agree with alpha1.
You will not find ukulele here in pune although you could try at awaaz in camp (aurora towers) but the chances of finding it are really slim.

Do you play in a band?

Oh heck, I was htinking of giving guitar lessons to kids around. Esp after rading that thread where someone made 40K in 2 months doing this part time. You know any ppl who would be interested in "learning"

I don't play in a band,i don't play that good, just started working and i have not played guitar for 3-4 months.

i know lot of people who want to learn guitar but they all live far away from wanawdi.Ya and teaching guitar in pune is really a good part time bussiness.
just post an ad on IGT about the classes people will come.

    I knew that.

I assumed it isn't a problem to drive or take a bus down for something like that, I know people who do Mumbai Pune every two days.
