Hey Guys ,,
I Found Something....
You Cant Create A Folder Named 'con' In Windows Xp..
and whats the point?
Thanks. Now I'm one up on the other losers who don't know that.
ERUTU : u dun even know how proud i am of you lad.
Type this in your command prompt and check your 'C' Drive
Notty .. whats the use of this again?
No use .. just pointing out that his claim is wrong.
It's not unique to CON. There are plenty of other names that cannot be used as filenames such as AUX, COM1, NUL, LPT1 etc. The reason is that these are reserved windows device names and they must not be used elsewhere in the system.
EDIT: Quick Google search revealed a complete list:
Still i see no use for it .. untill someone xplains what can this use for.. without any xplaination this looks like a mess to me and bad for ma computers health which is the last thing i want from you guyz.
yes or just md c:con\
works on my XP verison. Not sure of other versions or OS
SG1, use office computers :-D
check my next post on funny facts thread for another "what's the use??" fact
