    hi

    go to www.download.com

look for a software - AP tuner

    download it

its not a big file so quick download if u r on dialup

    then

    i hope u have a mike

play the strings the software will show u whether string is tuned or not

    i use that software.

(reps r welcomed if that helps

reps r good reps ie click on the yellow smilie at the end of my post )

    lets call our strings as E A D g b e (6 strings) thick ---> thin
so E is the thikcest ... e is the thinnest

u need one reference note - lets start with e string ...
pick it ... it should produce a note which is called "e" note (thats why the name)

how do u get the note?
well u need to have a tuner or u can pick up any song ... like we have nopthing else matters by Metallica ... their they use it ... so i play the song ... and adjust the tension so that e note matches the e note in the soing ...

now u go about adjusting tension in the strings like this:
b string ... the 5th fret should give the same sound as e string
g string ... the 4th fret should give the same sound as b string
D string ... the 5th fret should give the same sound as g string
A string ... the 5th fret should give the same sound as D string
E string ... the 5th fret should give the same sound as A string

now your guitar is tuned ...

second and easier option would be to use a tuner ...
which just tell u whether the string is tuned correctly or not ... very simple ..

however the first way allows you to develop your note hearing/listening abilities

yep but i think he sounds to b a beginner so its better he first uses some software

then gradually starts to tune by listening

    Hi Guys,

    Thanx, Thnx, Thnx a LOT.

I'll try both the ways. Download software as well as tune manually.
