Which Raaga is this??

 

looks like the major scale to me (raaga: shankharaabharanam)
There is a lot of difference between playing music in a raaga and playing music conforming to the notes of the raaga but not the raaga itself. For instance take this raaga (my favorit!) "Kathana kuthoohalam":
Sa Re Ma Dha Ni Ga Pa Sa, Sa Ni Dha Pa Ma Ga Re Sa is the raaga.

Notice that this again has the same notes as the major scale, but is not "shankharaabharanam"
In "kathanakuthoohalam", you are forbidden from playing "Ga-Ma" or "Ma-Pa"
So a raaga is more complicated than just scales.
To get a feel for "kathanakuthoohalam" listen to "raghuvamsa Sudha" (there is a guitar version played by guitarist Prasanna on music india online.)
If possible, listen to "Come on baby dance with me" by Shakti (from the album "natural elements") - an awesome display of "kathanakuthoohalam"

Here are a few interesting raagas I can think of:

Maaya Maalavagowla: Probably most popular, very classical sounding. 
It seems to suit well for metal kinda leads. 
Used in "Miserlou" (pulp fiction soundtrack)

Panthuvaraali: Another one of my favourites. 
This is identical to Maaya Maalavagowla with only the "Ma" being different.
Its amazing what changing one note can do to the feel of a scale!

Kalyani: This is another sweet sounding raaga. 
Notes are exactly the same as "shankharaabharanam" except for "Ma"

ChalaNaattai: This may be interesting if used properly, but is good
