hey guys...you know this discussion's kinda stupid really.....i mean we all have our favourites and we cant really force neone to change his/her/etc. favs...right? so, the greatest guitarist list should be changed to 'your fav guitarists'....that would be fair to everybody, including the guitarists... and btw....i dont agree with that list one bit coz it does'nt have slash and knopfler
well dude u cant make this list without leaving out several deserving candidates, more so because this is an all genre list well as far as rock n metal go,i have my favs,n i believe each one is great for a different reason.ull know why if uve heard these guys play marty friedman[megadeth/cacophony] chuck schuldiner[death] dimebag darell[pantera] angus young[ac/dc] alex lifeson[rush] van halen tom morello[ratm/audioslave] george lynch[dokken] john petrucci[dream theater] jason becker timo tolkki[stratovarius]
although i agree with u about jack white not being good enough to feature on that list, all that shit bout begginers able to churn out better solos is utter rot! his solos were soulful and easy listening, think of santana everytime i hear his solos
