How much does the thickness of an electric guitar's neck affect its playability? Im asking coz i found the perfect guitar, a black washburn with a floating bridge, great tone, great looks, but this friend of mine who tried it out says that the neck is too thick for fluent playing, but i didnt seem to notice this. It maybe because i havent played too many electric guitars, and the last time I even held one was a few months ago.. So yeah... should i go ahead and buy this, or will the thick neck be a problem?

guitar necks does not affect playability, it depends on person to person.
Some like thick necks more comfortable for playing
I can't play thick neck guitar, i prefer my ibanez much better than any BC Rich for example.

So don't go by anyone's saying, try out the guitar. If you find it comfortable to play with go for it!

There are a lot of other things(like practice) that effect speed.
