yup..to say one solo is the greatest of all is very difficult ...like ..different ppl will appreciate different solos...i love crystal planet by joe satriani and i think its he greatest piece of music ever written..but .dere wil me many ppl who dont feel the same way ..... and ..ppl who like different genres wil again differ...i dont think a hardcore slayer lover wil ever be fond of a solo by mark knofler or jimi hendrix ....


i think EVH can just pull it off .....maybe not in the same speed as before..

There are so many songs and bands unheard by people which might have amazing and worth listening solos and songs.

 

My Idea is that songs without solos are the best.

Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd has one of my favourite guitar solos. It has kind of a slow and mushy start but explodes into a highly addictive 5 minutes of endless lead guitar.
