What I want to know is what everyone's opinion is as to the future of Rahul Dravid and Greg Chappel after the world cup.



My opinion



Greg Chappel- He's done a reasonably decent job as a coach barring the obstinate episode with ganguly and even there, dropping ganguly did not sting but trying desperately to keep him out did. He sticks to his guns, isn't afraid to call a spade a spade and backs the players he picks (even though our choices sometimes differ). I think he should stay on.



Rahul Dravid- He's gone from my favourite cricketer to a personal embarrassment. While he does lead from the front, he's been far too politically correct and is sometimes a boring captain and horribly inflexible. Yes, I understand that he's used the flexibility word often but getting your all-rounder to open or come at no. 3 regularly is stupidity rather than flexibility. He needs to be a lot more adaptible with his strategy. Also, he needs to use his bowling options better. He doesn't seem to have the knack for taking his part-timers off in time and they invariably come in for some stick in the end after decent spells. I'd have said he should go if we had a decent replacement but perhaps it's too early for Yuvraj Singh (who should be stepped up to vice-captaincy).

and i think dravid was sloppier than chappel in handling the ganguly issue.
he sucks as a captain.
if yuvraj is ready, he might be a better choice.

imo, chappel was right 2 drop ganguly.
