For installing vista...what system config is required??

  11. Saptashaw

    Saptashaw PRO Tabber

1 GB RAM for Vista is essential. 512 MB is minimum, but u'd be better off with 1 GB.

i have a samsung DVDRW too. works fine. though i'd recommend a NEC or LiteOn drive more.

Liteon and sony DVD writer drives support almost all dvd formats.

i wont recommend a Samsung or a LG dvd drive ..i had a samsung combo drive and it was an absolute pain ..the drive created such a racket when the disc wa spinning inside !!!..and the transfer rates are slower than Sony or Lite-on drives ...also..the life of my combo drive was only around 8 months od proper workin..afta tht .it went beserk and had to change it to a DRU-820A sony dvd writer and the difference is huge .

i would recommend a Lite-on or a Sony dvd writer ..i gont my sony for a decent 2800 bux which i think is a good deal ..go for the best when you are buyin components which u change rarely...like HDD's and drives ....
