The Kiss of Death

I don't call upon you, angel of death
But still, I eagerly await your arrival
It's not that I'm lonely
But I dont believe in such survival

I have this mild pain of sorts
It's driving me mad
It's always there without fail
It's something, for a while, I've had

It depresses me just 'coz it isn't intense
It's just like everything else in my life
It's not exactly the monotony I despise
But it all just makes me wanna reach for a knife

I wanted to live when I was in love
Although I wasn't loved back
Atleast I felt something which made me feel alive
But such feelings I now lack

You could say I'm kinda numb
But I'm not selfish like before
So, just for the sake of pleasure
I can't hurt myself anymore

A saviour, I do not need
Neither do I need love
I do not need to pray
To some "heaven" up above

All I need is you
Your name is in my every breath
So place upon my cold forehead, my angel
What I've been longing for- "the kiss of death"

 

HEY AWESOME POEM!
and coincidentally, my favourite song 'tornado of souls' also ends with the same lyrics '.....the kiss of death'!
therefore...this has to be my fav poem!

well, earlier it was jst a reflection (but exaggerated, ofcourse) of what's goin on in my life... but now... i dont know
