Actually one only 'thinks' they play better on weed. I'm 54 years old, and have worked in studios most of my adult life. I'm certainly not the best player in the world, but I was a SOBER player. Playing "smashed" is all magazine hype, and not indusive to a long career. Often, I have been called in, because "Mr. Wonderful" was too bombed to finish his tracks.

 

So in a way... weed/drugs helps you in making money.
