heres an article u might find informative.. top 10 fastest shredders as listed by Guitar One magazine https://www.philbrodieband.com/muso-shredders.htm
I just checked some stuff of this Michael Angelo. He shows he can be fast, but it's is far from Malmsteen's level. I saw this video "Speed Kills" and I don't see the real speed. Guy plays averagely fast , only one fragment is fast but it's so easy. He plays guitar with strings laying on the fretboard and he barely plays as fast as Malmsteenn which plays normal. He isn't the fastest. He is just fast. And what's with those pathetic tricks? He is a kind of guitar jester. He plays on some kind of a two headed guitar, simple tricks you can learn in an hour. Rusty Cooley on the other hand is really good.
Guys where the **** is Michael Romeo. He is a million times faster than Petrucci. MY LIST(for speed) 1) Michael Romeo(Symphony X) 2) Shawn Lane 3) Jason Becker 4) Michael Angelo Batio 5) Vinnie Moore That link is for Greatest Shredders.
Just one point... Most of the guys mentioned can play the samek kind of licks really fast (not that I dislike them..I love some of them), but its usually either scale-oriented or sweep picking licks. Shawn Lane really stands out for me in this list because his licks are completely different from all these guys (odd-note groupings, wierd stretches, etc)
very correct ... infact sometiomes even i wonder what is so great in playing the same stuff over n over again for 10 years n having a lightning fast speed ... but yes hats of to them for their persistance ... not heard this Shawn Lane fellow though ...
wow finally shawn lane..here at igt .. well the fatest, fastest, coolest and in my opinion melodious guitarist of all times ... highly talented guy .. dunno why he had to leave so early ... r.i.p shawn .. you were an inspiration ..

Do you know how big is the number million  :annoyed: Even if you consider the fastest speed of Petrucci as 200bpm. I am sure he is faster. Michael Romoe's speed must be 200 x 10^6 and that will 200 Million beats per minute. At 16th notes he must be playing 3.2 billion notes per minute
:RollLol: muhuhahhahahaaaaaaaaa well i will not play trhe streaming ... i will first dload ... then play b.t.w. me feels that all the punk rockers will be fastest shredders ... albeit riff shredders
